- 1
Guarantee non-discriminatory access to all programmes through strict admission rules based on published merit and quota, with reasonable accommodation for applicants and students with disabilities in admission tests, classrooms, laboratories and examinations.
- 2
Publish programme educational objectives, programme outcomes, course outcomes, assessment rubrics and outcome-attainment analysis for every programme, and review curricula periodically under Institute of Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) in line with UGC and accreditation requirements.
- 3
Maintain the accreditation of accredited programmes, seek accreditation for the remaining eligible programmes from the Board of Accreditation for Engineering and Technical Education (BAETE) and other relevant national and international bodies, and conduct programme self-assessment, external review and follow-up of improvement plans through IQAC.
- 4
Map every programme’s courses to the relevant SDGs, include sustainability-related learning outcomes where relevant, offer courses on sustainable development, environment and engineering ethics, and encourage capstone projects and theses that address SDG challenges.
- 5
Embed Education for sustainable Development (ESD) across academic and co-curricular life through SDG orientation for new students, interdisciplinary sustainability projects, student-led green-campus activities, and SDG-focused clubs, competitions and seminars; open learning resources and short courses to lifelong learners; and support digital learning through a learning management system, blended and online courses and recorded lectures.
- 6
Operate a structured academic advising system through assigning and advisor for every student with recorded meetings at least once per semester, and an early-warning mechanism for students at academic risk followed by remedial support.
- 7
Provide free lifelong learning resources to the public through on-site access to the central library for non-RUET learners during stated hours on production of valid identification, a public reading corner, and open online access to selected recorded lectures, course materials and institutional repository content.
- 8
Run short courses, professional training and certification programmes in engineering and technology open to non-enrolled participants, including working professionals, polytechnic and school teachers, and unemployed graduates, with fee waivers for participants unable to pay.
- 9
Conduct educational outreach to local schools and colleges through science and mathematics outreach, laboratory demonstrations, career sessions, robotics and programming workshops, and an annual open day, with priority to schools in underserved areas of the Rajshahi division.
- 10
Run teacher training and pedagogy development for RUET faculty through IQAC, and share this capacity with local educational institutions where feasible.
- 11
Provide the digital infrastructure for learning with campus-wide internet, computer laboratories with published open hours, digital library resources, and a device loan scheme for students who cannot afford one.
- 12
Ensure accessible learning materials and assistive support for students with visual, hearing or mobility impairments, including ramps, accessible toilets and lifts in academic buildings.
- 13
Track and publish graduation, retention and employment outcomes disaggregated by gender and by disadvantaged background, and act on gaps identified.
