The university maps its activity against all 17 goals and was placed in the 601–800 band of the Times Higher Education Sustainability Impact Ratings 2026.
RAJSHAHI — Rajshahi University of Engineering & Technology (RUET) formally tracks its contribution to the Sustainable Development Goals through a dedicated Sustainability portal (sustainability.ruet.ac.bd), which maps university activity against all 17 goals, including Goal 12.
According to the university’s published progress statement, RUET’s approach to responsible consumption and production rests on three pillars — curriculum integration, applied research and institutional practice — rather than a single centralised waste-metrics system. The university has openly identified campus-wide quantitative reporting on waste volumes and recycling rates as a priority area for future work.
RUET’s sustainability work has also been recognised internationally. The university was listed in the Times Higher Education (THE) Sustainability Impact Ratings 2026, securing a position in the 601–800 band globally.
Its individual SDG scores included 55.4–59.8 for Affordable and Clean Energy (SDG 7) and 58.7–67.2 for Clean Water and Sanitation (SDG 6) — two goals closely linked to responsible resource use under SDG 12.
SDG Alignment: SDG 12 (primary); SDG 17; SDG 7; SDG 6.
