Joint public campaigns carry the message that responsible waste management, water management and disease prevention are shared civic responsibilities.
RAJSHAHI — Rajshahi University of Engineering & Technology (RUET) is taking its responsible-consumption message beyond the campus, joining public awareness campaigns on waste management and environmental health with Rajshahi City Corporation (RCC).
The joint campaigns extend SDG 12 messaging into the wider Rajshahi community and bring RUET’s institutional commitment into direct contact with the public.
Their central message is that responsible waste management, water management and disease prevention are shared civic responsibilities — not the responsibility of RUET or the city corporation alone.
RUET plans to expand its outreach further, extending workshops and awareness campaigns on responsible consumption to local schools, manufacturers and surrounding communities in Rajshahi.
The campaigns support SDG 12, SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals), SDG 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities) and SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-Being) through public-health awareness.
SDG Alignment: SDG 12 (primary); SDG 17; SDG 11; SDG 3.
