RUET encourages students to learn from the region's museums and heritage. The Department of Architecture and the Department of Urban & Regional Planning conduct heritage walks, such as visits to the Varendra Research Museum in Rajshahi, considered the oldest museum in Bangladesh, so students can study ancient relics, cultural heritage and artifacts.
